Welcome to the family!

Positioned 4 Purpose magazine brings to light a four-year dream to encourage the underdog in all of us … the desire to be more … to discover new worlds within and without … to live with intention!

Nearing 50 faster than I’d like, the world tells me I’m past my use-by date. Look at me … not your pin-up model, no letters after my name, no medals adorning my (all too dusty) shelf.  But I have dreams, I have ambitions, I have a future!

Just over 18 months ago I sat beside my husband in the car on the way to a mental health hospital. I had done it again! I had allowed my negative thoughts to determine who I was and where I was going. I was physically and mentally broken to the point of shutting down. But this time was different. This time I knew I didn’t want to stay there. This time I knew if I made a deliberate choice to partner with professional and spiritual support, I could be more.

I dug in, determined to move.

Just the next day I came across Nehemiah 4:13-14 (MSG):

So I stationed armed guards at the most vulnerable places of the wall and assigned people by families with their swords, lances, and bows. After looking things over I stood up and spoke to the nobles, officials, and everyone else: “Don’t be afraid of them. Put your minds on the Master, great and awesome, and then fight for your brothers, your sons, your daughters, your wives, and your homes.”

Boom! Victory happens when we fortify our weaknesses, put our minds to the Master (great and awesome), then fight!

As I look back over my (all too frequent!) Instagram posts I see a journey of resolve and growth. And I know if I can do it, anyone can! My dream was to provide short, inspiring stories of hope: stories that connect and bring promise; stories of ordinary Australians facing everyday challenges and choosing to fight. Positioned 4 Purpose was created not only to inspire (through our stories), but also to empower – we have brought together an amazing group of qualified experts, who are not only passionate about their chosen field, but passionate about equipping others to be greater!

I ask you to journey with me … let’s be challenged and convicted … let’s be encouraged and empowered … may these stories of great Aussie battlers and overcomers, and the expertise of our specialists, move us to be greater … to live more, give more, be more!
